You need to do the following: 1) Stop ignoring people trying to help you. 2) Stop disrespecting forum members who are obviously more learned than you. 3) Stop pushing aside an answer just because it isn't point n' click easy. Everyone who has ever modded seriously here has followed few tutorials, because not only do few exist, but the possibilities in this game are still unexplored fully. We learn by toying with variables, studying what works, experimenting, changing values and noting the results, trial and error, etc. Two clicks away from the link that 3POK provided for you would bring you to this page for guns: http://www.datarealms.com/wiki/index.php/HDFirearmand this page for Actors: http://www.datarealms.com/wiki/index.php/ActorsWhich is about as spelled out as it is going to get. If you want to learn to mod, you have to want to learn to mod.

I have to agree with Roon3 here. The only time I've touched a tutorial is to look up a variable I had no idea what did

Also, if you really want to get into it, try reading through older pages in mod making to have a look at some of the hackier solutions. Though that's once you actually put some effort into attempting to learn. The first step of which would be following 3POK_PHALE's excellent advice. Also, use the search button and you'll be able to find much more on your own and become a smaller target for people to flame. Yeah, I'm subtle, use search = less flame.

Re: Easily Editable Gun/Actors
you know, I and a lot of other people learned how to mod without tutorials (I pretty much learned without any help from anyone), sure back in the days when no tutorials were available there were a few unknown variables, but now you can just search around the forum/wiki and there will be something telling you what they all do. most of the variables are pretty self explanatory anyway, the hardest thing you will need to learn about is offsets.
There are loads of tutorials, read them, then download a mod and see how you can improve it, if you think this is too hard then just quit, because at the end of the day all you are doing is changing a few numbers, I could tell my little nine year old sister to change all the numbers in a file, change the sprites and release it as a mod, that's how easy it is. Now the difference between that and a good mod are that good mods usually start from a solid idea, add a bit of numerical combination magic, possibly add special breakwounds and other attachables and stuff for extra uniqueness and finish it with some extreme awesome sprites. Nobodies first mod is good (if it appears to be so then you'll most likely find that they have a few unreleased mods).
Now git lernin boy! Or I'll whoop yo ass! (or alternatively give up... just don't become a spriter)

Re: Easily Editable Gun/Actors
yeah I should have said that if you wanted to be a spriter you should at least be a GOOD artist, and understand a little about computer graphics/formats and bit depth.
edited previous message changing my statement about becoming a spriter
also stop posting you have shown that you have absolutely no patience to learn how to code and are also too stupid, you dismiss all advice given and always try to take the easy way out, come back when you've matured, and actually made a decent attempt to create mod assets.
