yeah except you can do that with lua. self.head.frame after finding self.head with mails attachable code, mixed with a bit of velocity finding.

Oh cool. Another thing... How about different torso sprites based on leg positioning? Like, body swaying while walking? And idle animation?

yeah easy.
you can get weather the actor is walking (some getcontroller stuff) or not, and with a bit of fiddling get it animating in sync with everything.
idle animations wouldnt work if you mean like, the actor scratching its nose or something, cause you cant move limbs w/ lua to my knowledge, however if you mean like random colours and stuff, or wings flapping or something, thats easily do-able.

Oh, sweetsauce. Thank you Geti!

Now to:
1. Con someone into writing code for me.
2. Sprite it.

Lol.

Edit: Mainly I meant, like, shifting weight from one foot to the other, rocking back and forth, etc.

Quick! Summon a GM and use a Phoenix Down!

Seriously though, I don't think we need to have actors fidgeting any more than they already do. You can make faux-hair with emitter emissions, having it always hanging down.

Ehh... Can you link an example? Aren't y'all saying it's all glitchy and bad?

One more thing... How about an attachable that severs it's connection under certain circumstances.
Example: This actor has a hat, but when that actor reaches a certain velocity, the hat falls off. Ideally, the velocity limit should be higher with upwards movement and lower with downwards movement.

Some way to reattach hat? :D Indiana Jones mod!

The way I'm talking is exhibited in both Melee Masters (the mace) and WizCorp (the tassels on the books).

THAT would be awesome!
I think to do that you'd need to have a really weak jointstrength or something, but I'm not sure if velocity puts force on you.

But but, is that sufficient for real hair? And would it be consistent with CC sprite style?

Eh... I'd check at seeing if LUA (lua, Lua, however the heck you want to put the casings) can have a velocity limit. I don't think velocity puts force on you, mainly because there isn't any "air", so there's nothing really pushing against you. That being said, I don't think jointstrength will really work for falling off at a certain speed, but it would help in case anyone shot it off.

Impulse can break pinning and gibimpulselimits but velocity cannot.
