Post First Mod Help
I've been working for the past....many hours to try and finish off my first mod. The majority of the code is, err, borrowed from the Ronin files, I hope no one minds. I'll learn the coding later, I just want to get the blasted thing to work >_<

I get an abort screen at line 6, so I know I've done something very stupid, some spelling mistake or simple error, I was wandering if someone could help me as my sleep deprived brain is struggling.

So i'll leave a copy of the mod here, it's only one actor, and is not only my first mod but also my first sprite (bear in mind I never intended to post this, but I can't get it to work).

Im gonna go to bed now, if someone can point out what i've done wrong and how to fix I would be eternally grateful :)

Your right, it was a spelling error (sorta). In the Index.ini at line six, you have:
Code:
IncludeFile = Vitorax.rte/Actors/Mechanicus.ini

However, in your Vitorax.rte/Actors folder, the file is actually named: Mechanicus.ini.ini. You'll need to fix that.

This wasn't the only error the game caught. After fixing this one you'll have another one involving a .bmp file. However, I'll leave that one to you. Try to fix it on your own. If you have trouble, PM me and I'll see what I can to help. I may be new to modding Cortex Command, but I have a lot of experience with game modding in general.

Also, I'm guessing that on your computer you have file extensions set to "hidden". If so, I recommend you unhide them. (Control Panel -> Folder Options -> View tab -> uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types" -> Apply). Doing this should help prevent the "double extension" mistake above.
