Post Daleks (an early WIP) V0.03 Now with Basic Gibs
This is a mod I have been having a go at, and I do understand that in it's current form it is far from good but nonetheless,

A dalek.

This is a mod I have been having a go at, and I do understand that in it's current form it is far from good but nonetheless,

A dalek.

It currently fires an exact copy on Numgun's Ionizer, but I was hoping to modify it in several ways, making it a laser as opposed to a ball as well as turning the effects blue. In future I was thinking about having AHumans dropped a Skellies as opposed to just disappearing and everything else just die without gibbing. Some sort of electricity look would be cool but from looking at other people's work this seems unimaginably difficult. I started with Numgun's Ionizer because the floating effect is nice and the code was easy to understand.

I can't however figure out how to attach a trail to an AEmitter to make it a laser or quite how to alter the color of the effect. EDIT: see update

I also was struggling with the way in which the offsets for the gun work, They are all fine except I can't seem to get it to rotate around the right place, If anyone could help with that I would much appreciate it.

If anyone could fill me in on their ideas about anything I would be happy to listen and if anybody would like to help I would be glad to let you.

UPDATE: AHumans now become skeletons, so Numgun's code has been modified. Most of the effect turned blue, objects now float upward slowly while being fried. Laser Beam working. Offsets still annoying, sprite still crappy.

I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to make a better sprite, as I was just about to start doing gibs??? UPDATE: Now I've done some fairly basic Gibs, but I could still do with a better sprite.

Also there is a Lua effect FlashWhite, but if I change it to, say FlashBlue, it doesn't work. Is there anyway to make it work??

I quite like it. I've wanted one of thesee for ages...

It's much like a classic series dalek, 'cus it cannae hover.

You could try and make the sucker arm an offhand shield?
Also, try and make the bits seperate, so the eye-stalk can be blown off

i would also suggest a sprite improvement...i'm tryin' now..but it'll be silver and blue, cus that's the way (uh-huh, uh-huh) i like it (uh-huh, uh-huh)

hows this?

I also have a dalek serial on CD, shall i get some clips for you?

er, sorry,

I forgot to mention the sprite is not my own work, a brief search brought it through google. The site says you don't need to give credit but nonetheless,

Thanks to ACE_Spark for the sprite.

If anyone can do better I will use theirs, (it is one whole sprite, not multiple components.)
