You could use something like that to instantly kill the user and the wound would emit another gun.

You could probably just make a gun that dispenses medipacks... but then the medipacks would just be using the same code and glitchiness as the original one...

I think the only glitch with the medpacks was crashing when it gibbed the user's arm.

Indeed it is. And yeah, unless you did what 411570N3 said, you couldn't apply that to a gun.
