I actually prefer MSPaint over this. Dunno, just feels more comfortable and simplistic

Re: A good pixel art software package.
I prefer mtPaint. GraphicsGale starts up and runs a bit too slow for me, and it doesn't handle large images well (I.E. Scene bmps).
mtPaint has everything you would need for pixel art, and it's small and fast.

Re: A good pixel art software package.
So Warbz, I can import the CC palette into this and make it only use those colors?

I really prefer MSPaint, all these new programs and stuff are full of useless crap you'll never use. MSPaint has color sliders, a replace color tool and doesn't AA. Oh! And its also free.

Re: A good pixel art software package.
Graphics Gale is free, but quite frankly, I use MSPaint to make my sprites as well, even though I have Graphics Gale and have made some really nice Pixel Art pics with it. However, I seem to run into a problem that whenever I change a colour on the RGB sliders, it changes the colour already on the picture to the newly defined colour.
Not cool.

You're suppose too use only the palette colors anyway. Also, the colors on the CC palette need to be organized better.

Re: A good pixel art software package.
Organization is perfect, its a got great balance between dark-light and highlights. (IE You don't use a brighter green to highlight a darker one but some kind of yellow-white color. If you think about those rules too, you'll see the palette is very well organized)
If you still don't get what I mean look at old games, they use this perfectly. (Prom does too)
