My (un-original) idea for christmas.
I plan to make a Santa character for the game. The problem is, I haven't done anything except alter the ini code for the flame-thrower up until now.
Do I make it pixel by pixel in MSPaint/Photoshop or is there an alternative route?
*Goes to check the templates*
Thanks in advance.

In MSPaint
Photoshop, GIMP, and all the other crazy image editing programs are not good for sprites, their GUI is cluttered with useless stuff, and they have these "convenient" shotcuts and mouse gestures that make them a spriter's hell.

Re: My (un-original) idea for christmas.
For the few sprites i've done i used photoshop. There are some frustrating things about working with the program for spriting purposes and the jury is sort of out on whether you end up with good sprites, but i dunno. It seems alright to me.
As a sidenote, if you could name the flamethrower in question "Good Cheer" or something then you'd make my chrismas wish come true.
Additionally, I cannot wait until people start bitching about the "implausibility" of santa appearing in the cortex command universe.

The Flame-thrower was unrelated to this, I made it a few weeks back. Here's the big guy so far... It looks like he's trying to hug himself or something. =/ Yes, I am simply re-spriting the coalition soldier.

It's turning out good enough.
You can't expect me to produce a completely new actor on first try.

Sorry for DP but, what is the variable called for the helmet offset and where can I find it. In the Actors .ini?

Re: My (un-original) idea for christmas.
Code: AddAttachable = Attachable CopyOf = Soldier Helmet A ParentOffset = Vector X = -1 Y = -4 Line 475 of Soldier.ini I disagree about the GIMP bit, it is what I use and if you take some time to learn the keyboard shortcuts (heck, define your own), then you don't even have to worry about the interface. Plus it has a lot of features that makes it possible to sprite more efficiently. (No, I am not talking about lens flare)
