It's part of an idea for a charging weapon that doesn't charge past a certain point.

Neat concept, but I don't think it's possible.

You could, however, add an emitter to a device, and then switch to another device in your inventory to 'charge' it, then switch to it to fire.

I think you could achieve the same general resulting function as what you want, but the controls would be screwy and awkward.

I think data fixed the inventory emitter glitch. It made for a nice exploit concept though.

Can you still attach emitters to muzzleflashes? Also, maybe there are other things you can attach emitters to that will do crazy things.

Oh my. It seems you can make your properly triggered charge weapon after all.
BUT, the emitter doesn't flip when you turn to face leftward, so you'll need symmetry in the emissions.
And you can charge it basically forever.
