As the title says,it won't load the DSTech mod.It's as if the Index.ini doesn't exist.I've tried copying it from the DSTech.rte folder to the root of Cortex Command but the game ignores the mod.Any other mod is loading,even maps,but not this.Why?I'm using build 22 (I think)

Try the old trick of making another folder with the same name as the old. Since it's DSTech, DSTech.rtenew, then rename after deleting the older DSTech.rte.

Edit: Whoops, forgot the most important part. Cut and paste the contents of the old DSTech.rte into the new one, then delete it since it's useless and rename the new folder to match the original.

You know he could just be talking about the updates since B21 was released.

Also try taking everything out of the DSTech.rte folder, deleting the DSTech.rte folder, making a new DSTech.rte folder, then putting all the stuff back in it.

I didn't try to rename the folders,but I re-installed CC (which,BTW is build 20;sorry,I didn't know which version it was) and copied just the DSTech.rte folder in the CC folder and it still didn't load.I've downloaded the first attempts at the DSTech mod,namel DS09 DS02 and so on and it loads those.It loads maps,it loads those mods but it completely ignores the DSTech folder.I've tried using some CPU consuming app and setting CC to run at Idle processor speed and from the loading window (the one where it says which files it's loading and from where etc) it didn't even attempt to load the DSTech mod.What's up with that?It's not normal.I mean,shouldn't it scan inside folders to check for a Index.ini?

EDIT : NVM,I fixed it with the rename trick.Thanks! But...um...why did I have to make a new folder named...just the same as the folder specified in the Index.ini file? What's the difference?

EDIT 2 : Just the DSTech mod.

How many mods are you trying to load?

Dunno. Someone just found out that that works for this kind of problem, and nobody questioned it because it did.
