Post Weapon offsets
I'm having trouble with getting my bloody offsets right. I have the gun its self exactly where I want it. The support hand is in the right place, but the main hand isn't. Which value do I need to edit to change the position of the main hand, without moving the gun?

Oh yes, I forgot to mention. JointOffset seems to move the gun, too.

I was going to link to the wiki, but it seems to be constantly reorganizing itself and throwing out what people wrote for it, so whatever.

Anyways,
JointOffset = Main Hand Offset
SupportOffset = Supporting Hand Offset
SharpStanceOffset = Stance Offset for Sharp Aiming
StanceOffset = General Stance Offset
MuzzleOffset = Round Exit/Muzzle Flash Base Offset
EjectionOffset = Casing/Shell Exit point.

And SpriteOffset is what it is for everything else. The base point for other offsets, and the center of mass.
Change this and it changes all the other offsets.

EDIT: Ok, I've fixed that now, thanks. But another problem I'm having is the Mag offsets. It's in the right place when looking right, but when the gun is pointing left, it's 1 or 2 pixels forward (relative to the gun). I had this problem with a mod I made in B14, never did resolve it. Is it because the mag or the gun is an odd number of pixels across?

I think it might just be a glitch in CC. One or two pixels couldn't really hurt, could it? :???:

Yeah, its just a bug or something. I've been dealing with it for ages. Actually, if you'll notice, all gun offsets are like that. I think the actor holds the gun a pixel or two further forward when they're facing left. Also, their hand placements are further forward.

Just do the best you can.

Hmm, either it is fixable or I'm just blind, but I think I fixed that, too. But wait, there are more problems! After changing some of the offsets around a bit, I can't get the support hand in the right place. I think it might be because the arm is too short, but when I aim at certain angles and when in sharpaim, the support hand disconnects, making the weapon horribly inaccurate. Will I need to move the weapon sprite and hands even further back to make it look acceptable?

That's what usually happens to me when I make a mod. I just keep changing the variable(s) until it kinda works. My theory is: this happens when the support offset is set beyond the BG arm's reach (IE: the arm can extend, say, 15 pixels MAX, but the variables make it want to extend further than 15, so it resets to the side position.) Just a theory.

Yeah, that's pretty much the deal with un-supportive offhands.

Annoying, but you can't really expect it to do better. Just make the support offset closer, or the stance offsets closer. Keep that supportive hand's position in reach.
