can u still use mods when u get the new version, if the mods are from say,20,to 21 will they work? will it clean up your mods when u get new version?

It depends. Data usually changes random lines, so a mod will be rendered broken. Other times Data changes the engine so the mod may not work the same. And no, you need to delete them yourself.
