Rolling
Is it possible with the current CC build to simulate the rolling of a round object?

Re: Rolling
So there could be an actor that rolls instead of using legs?

Re: Rolling
Not really, no.
Wheeled vehicles don't work.

Re: Rolling
Legs have to be attached to stuff. It won't roll unless you make the whole actor roll, which kind of defeats the purpose.
Freestanding MOSRotatings roll, though.

Re: Rolling
What about just a completely round actor with a rotating rim and a fixed center?

Re: Rolling
thats the definition of a wheel. but rolling actors have been done before, despite the fact that they failed hard.

Re: Rolling
Uhh, no. It'd just be a sprayer that releases round objects. It wouldn't do anything interesting at all.

I think that was supposed to mean, a round object, that sprays particles, to make it spin, like one of those retarded fireworks. and that's been done, in the form of an ARocket before, it was a big-ass roller, and I don't remember who made it but it was fun. Also, if you made legs round, and REALLY messed with the limb-paths you could make wheel-legs (that roll forward and back), unfortunately, that would be permanently doing the cha-cha, unless you could make the leg lift up after it rolled forward (so that it would be switching from one 'wheel leg' to another) it would be retarded, but it *MIGHT* work. I'd test it but I need a new comp before I can even play anymore. someone who's really good at offsets, sprites, and actors, I think should try this.
