Gibs, corpses and debris
Hey. While it's amusing with death-spinning dropships and flying corpses splattering everywhere, I've started to wonder if it's possible to get rid of corpses, gibs and debris completely?
It becomes something of an issue during extended games against the AI, when your base entrances all get clogged up, and you basically don't walk on the ground anymore, but layer upon layer of crashed dropships and bodyparts. Especially the AI seems to have issues with this.
So basically, what I'm wondering is, is it at all possible to make actors simply vanish when they die? Or at least make corpses not be so much in the way.

As unhelpful as it is, why would you want to do that? I love it. I like the constantly changing terrain. If it blocks the entrances to my base. I just get a guy with a heavy digger or something similar on it. Anyway, you can get rid of gibs by removing them from the appropriate ini file.

Personally, I don't have much of a problem with it. Recently I've started playing with my brother against the computer, and he apparently finds the debris annoying. Anyhow, thanks!

Re: Gibs, corpses and debris
Well you can delete all AddGib lines in the actors section but that would take a looong time.

Re: Gibs, corpses and debris

What Ocular Bleeding said. Keep the overcomplicated stuff to a minimum and use the god damn diggers to clean ♥♥♥♥ up. That is why they're there (among other things) and one of the various purposes they have.

I believe that one insertion dropship did it. I forget who made it, maybe the darkclone guys. After death the ship just vanishes into a poof of blue smoke stuff.
